Young Women of the Community

S I of Taft sponsors “S’ Clubs on campus at Taft High and Buena Vista. Service clubs made up of high school students who are concerned with improving their lives and those
around them.
They work in cooperation with their school to build high standards and ideals and to prepare members to assume roles of leadership in the business and professional world. Each club chooses the programs of service they believe will better their school and community. Each “S” Club must have a Campus Advisor who works with the Soroptimist Advisor to advise and assist the “S” Club members in their activities.
Some of the service projects the local “S” Club members they have been involved in:
- Assist with Soroptimist Spring and Christmas luncheons.
- Package Thanksgiving baskets through the Resource Center.
- Clean the Soroptimist Memorial Park.
