Soroptimist International  of Taft

Who We Are

Soroptimist International of Taft was chartered on January 26, 1958. We are a very active service club. We achieve our mission through programs that focus on improving the lives of women and girls in our community and worldwide. These programs offer financial support and mentoring opportunities to educate and empower women and girls to live their dream.
Our main club project is the Critical Care Program. We also grant scholarships and support to Alpha House and Westside Senior Care. Annually we grant a minimum of $8,000 in educational awards to women and girls. We also grant a minimum of $10,000 through our Critical Care program for transportation grants to people having to travel outside Taft for life saving treatments.
